For the people who are roaring that the minorities have spoken... yes, they have
. But better understand why this time and not last time. Non extremist minority
spoke last time also. Last time the competitor was more sound as well (even thou
gh the election was lost) but the division of the majority was less. So, they kn
ew a change was impossible and a try would not be so useful. But this time it wa
s evident how the majority was divided into groups and the extremist minorities
united at the proper time. Their political leaders telling them to support MS so
that their ideas can be accomplished was not a hidden process. Even now the com
ments of many extremists support the same idea. Shame on the people who doesn't
even have the backbone to say that it's wrong. Because even if Maithri doesn't w
ant to be involved in such processes, the extremists will keep pressuring to ach
ieve their goals as my3 was dependent on their votes to win. So, people who were
worried so much about racism must still keep their eyes open to the other side
as well. But I guess many don't define it that way since they don't believe its
'racism' when it comes from the other side. What are you afraid of? For being la
beled a racist if you stand up for the majority who don't want any divisions? af
raid of the small groups which doesn't break their unity regardless of the situa
tion or how wrong their demands are? afraid that the image you pretend to show w
ould be damaged? Oh please, the small finger of humans are decaying as it's not

used often. Some might start the same process for the backbone this way
BTW, it's hilarious when people who were claiming MR didn't do the war and the r
oad system he developed is not really a development etc etc etc etc now have sud
denly started sharing 'guna gayana and thanking' posts... If you are saying this
when he left, were you lying before, just because you were afraid he would not
go? Please grow up, don't just say things for the sake of getting the advantage.
Say right is right and wrong is wrong and stick to what you say. But you can on
ly do that if you said what you said on a proper basis.

Kelum, I completely agree with almost everything you say. He was the best presi
dent and he got a second term due to that and during that time some pretty nasty
things were let happen. Those things definitely need to be corrected and that's
actually why even I say he had to open his eyes to see what happened during the
past few years which could have been prevented by him. However, given the situa
tion of the country and when trying to elect a new president, we had to choose b
etween him and the my3 party. I say my3 party because he doesn't come as a direc
t individual but he is dependent on many different groups for his win such as RW
+UNP, CBK, MC, TNA, JHU etc. and we have very well seen what these collaborators
are capable of and how they have governed the country. probably this is where w
e chose our favorites for this election. In my head, I believe that saving the c
ountry from being broken into pieces and continuing the development projects MR
started is important right now (some may say this can't happen now but can anyon
e be so certain, if so, on what basis? I really don't think that's a true belief
and at least not to me). This is more weighted over the errors MR had, espeical
ly since I see no less evil behavior from the members of the other side. To make
it worse, they get the help from the extremist groups who even openly asked ppl
to support my3 just so that they can get their eelam etc. Even without those ex
tremists asking, some of the members of this alliance are willingly offering bac
k what we won so hard. So, I have no faith in my3 and the party to serve what's
important to the country right now. So, the best option for me was MR in this ca
se. The others who supported my3 must have had their own reasons. As you say, no
thing wrong with that and That's fine with me. They try to convince their ideas
and we try to convince ours. That naturally has to be like that. But WHAT IS WRO
NG IS, many ppl just lie about so many things just to get some unfair advantage.
Even they themselves say the opposite thing when it's beneficial for them. Some
thing which was once wrong can not be correct at another instance. So, people sh
ould stop having such double standards. That's my point. For an example, ppl com
plained including all UNP supporters that RW is still staying as the UNP leader
even after loosing so many elections. But suddenly that became alright and he wa
s the praised for his behavior and MR was so blamed for asking for a third term.
Both probably want to stay longer for the greed as many say. But which happened
for longer and does the true answer spoken out loud? More clearer example would
be ppl kicked out CBK due to her very very bad governance and we know what she
did with the war situation after rivirasa. Then last few weeks she was praised a
s the person who completed 75% of the war. What a joke? What did MR do then, wha
t did SF do? These type of twists are disgusting. no matter who does it. Sometim
es we can not defend all the things our favorite does, then you should say it ou
t loud or if you are worried to say it out, at least you should keep quite. Whit
e washing the bad things they do is the worse thing one can do.
