Thomas Alva Edison.

Thomas Alva Edison was one of the inventors that more contributed to change the
life of modern man. More than a thousand inventions patented transformed the
customs and habits of industrialized societies. Also Edison was a key figure in
building the new technological research.
He was a restless and tireless researcher, worked in different fields such as optics,
acoustics and electricity. Its main virtue was the ability to apply the technical
knowledge to the world of consumption, this allowed his designs took on a great
importance in the lives of people.
The lamp of filament is perhaps the greatest invention of Edison. Its mass
production allowed that the obtaining of light was cheap and so even people with
scarce economic resources began to enjoy the ability to light their homes and the
electric lighting transformed the image of the modern cities. The phonograph,
another invent that allowed record and play any kind of sound was another notable
invention of Edison.
Thanks to the contributions of Edison to technology nowadays we can enjoy of the
many comfort and electronic devices as well an basic necessity like electric light.
