MT Flip Front Installation

MT Flip Front Installation Manual

Preparation:
Step 1: Remove stock Mini engine, subframe, and everything else in the engine
compartment. (See Figure 1-1 below )

Step 2: Cut existing Mini front end after the a-panel seem. See Figure 1-2

Step 3: Clean, Prepare, and Prime your Minis firewall and all ruff surfaces. (See
Figure 1-3)

Note: Add additional metal for extra support on front side of a-panel.

Attaching the Hinges and Flip Front

Step 1: Attach your MT Hinges using the four bolt holes for the stock upper shock
mount (See Figure 1-3).

Mount Hinges to the car.

Mount the rubber cup to the front of the sub-frame.

Attach plastic lock to flip front end as pictured in 2 photos above.

Figure above shows attachment locations.

For best looking results, attach your Flip Front to your car and subframe. Trim the
rear edges so that it fits 1/4 from your Mini. Note: The hinges are slotted in two
dimensions for exact fitting.
