    Ice Breaker 1

    Tangled Web
    Instructions:
    All that is needed for this activity is a ball of yarn. The class gets in a
    circle and one person starts by holding the ball. He or she begins by
    saying his or her name and one fact about him or herself. Then, that
    person throws the ball to another person in the class. Each person
    should be instructed to throw the yarn to a person who has not yet
    been chosen. The cycle continues until everyone has had a turn and the
    yarn makes a web figure

    Ice Breaker 2
    Categories
    Instructions:
    Tell students you are going to announce a category-related question
    (for example, "What is your favorite color?") and that students should
    organize themselves into groups based on their answers. Once everyone
    is organized, ask each group to share its category with the rest of the
    class.
