It is a pleasure to write this letter of reference on behalf of Ms.
Toutounji, a colleague and ESL/English Teacher at Lincoln Community School, Accra, Ghana. I have known Ms. Toutounji professionally for the past three years with two years as her direct supervisor at Lincoln. She is highly self-motivated, organized and a hard working individual. She devotes a great amount of time to the school. Rena has worked diligently with her team in the planning of ESL and English curriculum at Lincoln. Rena is an excellent experienced teacher. She has taught multiple subjects at different levels in the middle school and high school. She is flexible in her teaching. Rena was superb in helping out at LCS this year and proved invaluable when a teacher has to leave unexpectedly! She has high expectations for her students and it shows with her planning and preparation of lessons. Rena communicates well with parents and knows the importance of keeping all informed. She is conscientious and caring about our diverse community at Lincoln. I am certain she will continue to do the same in the future. Rena demonstrates interest in the academic program of the school. She understands and supports the curriculum process and is involved in initiatives concerning NWEA testing, Atlas Curriculum Mapping, and anything we ask of her. She utilizes technology in her work and is open to new ideas that come forth from faculty and administration. Rena is a valuable team player in all aspects of school life. I believe Ms. Toutounji would be an exceptional candidate for a teaching position in the MS or HS. Her flexibility is an asset for
any international school. Her previous work history and
academic credentials are excellent. Most importantly Rena is a good family person - one who can be trusted to do the right thing for all involved. I have been a MS Principal and Director of Curriculum in a large district in NH and would hire Rena if the opportunity presented itself. Please do not hesitate to contact me for any information concerning Ms. Toutounji. Sincerely, Ken Roy MS Coordinator (Principal) Lincoln Community School Accra, Ghana June 2014
