In Dallas, less than 50% of the children in foster care have a CASA

Main goals of our program:

Obtain volunteers for Dallas CASA.
Have other local companies start similar
programs with their employees.
Raise funds for Dallas CASA. It costs $2,186 per year to provide a
CASA volunteer to help an abused or neglected child in Dallas County.

 Promote Defend a Child program among employees

Attract 400 out of 8000 employees
Estimated 200 employees will volunteer for initial
period of 1 1 1/2 years

Program
Raytheon Space and Airborne System volunteer
grant:

Monetary donation to Dallas CASA for every hour one of our employees volunteers

at their organization.
Will donate $15 per every hour for a maximum of 200 hours a year per employee.
Estimated 200 employees will volunteer in the first year.
Thus, Raytheon SAS will donate an amount up to $600,000 for Dallas CASA.

 Volunteers will be committed to 30 hours of training from

Dallas CASA
Remaining 170 hours volunteered according to ability to
commit
15-20 hours per month

ANNUAL DEFEND A CHILD

DINNER EVENT
Host this event annually during Child Abuse Prevention month in April.
The main focus of this event is to increase volunteerism for Dallas CASA.
Invite other Dallas Regional Chamber business members to help Dallas CASA by

starting similar programs at their companies.

Raise additional $43,589 for Dallas CASA.

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden will serve as the location.
Silent Auction.

Guest Speaker - Ryan Dollinger
Program CASA of Southeast Texas
Location Beaumont, TX
Ryan says that his success would not have been possible without the

support of his CASA volunteer and the CASA program staff in Beaumont.

CASA is my lifesaver. I would have been lost in foster care. There are so

many kids, and not so many social workers. There were times that I didnt
hear from my social worker for three or more months. But I always heard
from CASA.

COMMERCE CAN HELP
A list of possible invitees and known contributors to charitable functions is
therefore the key helpful material the Dallas Regional Chamber can provide
us.
The Chamber can also help by promoting the event on their social media
pages and their website.
