DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (As per Maharashtra Govt. Rules):

PI Professor :
1) The Professor will have to teach the subject to the students in the college with
the help of assistances such as Associate Professor, Assisfant Professor etc.
2) In case of clinical subjects, he will have to impart clinical instructions in his
subject to the students in the college with the help of his assistant.
3) He will have to guide the staff in his departure in their teaching and bring their
knowledge of the subject up-date.
4) He will have to develop his depar
tment and maintain it up-date.
5) He will have to carry out research in the concerned subjects.
6) He will responsible for completion of his subject as per syllabus of the University
within the prescribed period.
7) He will have to supervise the staff in his department.
8) He will be responsible for routine work of his depar
tment.
9) He will have to carry out any other duties as may be assigned to him by the
Dean of his college.

n Associate Professor:
1) The Associate Professor will have to teach the subject to the students in the
college as per the instructions of the Professor of his/her subject in the college.
2) In case of clinical subjects, he/she will have to impart clinical instructions in
his/her subject to the students in the college as per the instructions of the
Professor of his/her subject in the college.
3) He/she will have to assist the Professor of his subject in the development of
his/her depar
tment and maintain it up to date.
4) He will have to assist the Professor of his/her subject in carrying out research in
the concerned subject.

5) He/she will have to carry out any other duties as may be assigned to him/her by
his/her Superiors.
