Everything Leads to You:
This book is about a girl named Emi who lives in L.A. She is a senior in high school and
has a job working as a set designer on a film set. Although she has an amazing job, and
doing well, her relationship life is a mess. She keeps going a back to her ex who treats
her like crap. One day as she is looking for pieces to put on the set she is making, she
finds a mysterious note. As she goes on a quest to find who the letter is addressed to,
she finds herself meeting a young girl and learning the true meaning of family and
relationships.
My Best Friend, Maybe:
This book is about two girls, Colette and Sadie, who use to be the closest of friends.
When Sadie dumped Colette for an unexplained reason, Colette finds herself alone and
sad, until she gets an unexpected call from Sadie begging her to go on a family vacation
with her family to the Greek Islands. While there, she finds out about an enormous
secret Sadie had been hiding that lead to their breakup. In the end, Colette realizes that
a whirlwind trip with her former best friend, is exactly what she needed to get out of her
funk.
Faking Normal:
In this book, Alexi, a young girl, has a huge secret to hide. To make the pain go away,
she compulsively scratches the back of her neck. When the box next door, Bodee,
moves into her house, she starts to open up to him. As their relationship strengthens,
they both lean on each other for support so that they can help each other through their
situations. As Alexi learns how to say the truth, Bodee learns how to accept his past.
Inside Out/ Outside In:
This book series takes place in a metal building divided in half by Uppers and Lowers.
Trella, a scrub living in the lower levels, spends her days roaming, cleaning, and
sleeping the the pipes and air vents to stay away from the Pop Cops. As she roams her
away around the upper levels, spying on the leaders, she accidentally learns to much
information. She accidentally starts a whole new revolution, and learns what is truly on
the outside of their metal barriers. As the second book commences, Trella must learn
how to become a leader and save the people on the inside, from the outside that wants
in.
Lock and Key:

Tyana Cullen
Ruby, a teenage girl, is used to living on her own. When her mother leaves her for good,
she tries to keep her ramshackle of a house, hoping no one notices she lives there
alone. When people start catching on, she must live with her older sister Cora, who she
hasn't seen since she left at a young age. As she has trouble adjusting to her new
luxurious lifestyle, she becomes friends with the most popular guy, Nate, in school who
lives in the house directly behind hers. She soon finds out about Nates best kept secret,
and tries to help his along the way. As she goes on with life, she finally learns how to
close up her old life, and start trusting others again.
Awaken/ Middle Ground:
Maddie lives in a world run by technology. Her father is the maker of the internet
schooling, which allows kids to stay in their rooms all day disconnected from the real
world. Although Maddie feels secure behind all of her profiles and fake accounts,
everything changes when she meets Justin, a kid who loves face-to-face interaction and
hates the use of interacting behind screens. As Maddie hangs out more with Justin, her
view on the world changes. As the second book continues, and her rebellious streak
remains, she lands herself in a detention center. She must learn how to stay true to
herself, when almost everyone is going against her.
Mind Games:
Fia and Annie are sisters with a very close bond. While Fia has impeccable instincts,
Annie is blind, but is able to see into the future. As time goes by, the two girls are offered
places at an elite boarding school. Although Fia feels as if something is wrong, with the
school, she goes anyways to keep her sister safe. When Annies life is at stake, Fia must
do everything she can to keep her safe.

Challenging:
I dont think its necessary to lower or raise my reading count. I know that in college I will
be reading less fiction books, which is mostly what I read, and start reading textbooks. I plan to
start weaning off of fiction books so that I can prepare more for college readings.

I plan to read at least one non-fiction book, and continue to read and annotate others. I
hope to increase my informational reading so that I will be prepared for college. Otherwise, I
hope to continue YA Fiction novels.
