COURSE: NMX for Broadcast

DESCRIPTION: This course covers the Harmonic NMX Digital Service Manager where the student will learn how to
monitor, operate, and troubleshoot a Harmonic digital video compression system.
OBJECTIVES: At the completion of this course, the students will learn how to perform NMX administration, map
configuration, Navigate and configure the Automation Server application, and perform various redundancy and
troubleshooting tasks.
PREREQUISITES: While no prior knowledge of Harmonic equipment is required for this class, a basic knowledge of
networking, including Ethernet, switching, and TCP/IP is recommended. Also, an understanding of MPEG-2 and
video processing systems would be helpful. Harmonic strongly recommends you complete a basic networking
course prior to attending this class.
