Summary of Role

Deliver S5-S6 Swim programme within the School of Sport under the technical direction
of Head Coach City of Glasgow Swim Team.

Contribute to the implementation of a comprehensive coaching programme (reflecting


individual swimmer needs) concentrating on core and specialist skills development, sport
science and swimmer education.

Contribute to the planning, delivery and evaluation of the individual and group coaching
sessions at Glasgow School of Sport.

Assist with the delivery of key City of Glasgow Swim Team training sessions working
alongside the City of Glasgow Swim Team Head Coach.

Communicate effectively with swimmers and partners including School of Sport and
Bellahouston Academy personnel, City of Glasgow Swim Team club coaches, District
committees and Scottish Swimming.

UKCC Level 3 Swimming Teaching/Coaching


qualification or ability to achieve within 6
months of taking up post.

HND or Degree level


qualification in sport
related discipline.

UKCC Level 2 Qualification

Current Driving Licence

Significant coaching experience at Graded,


District and Age Group National Level.

MIDAS trained
