The OMC-R platform capacity has remained the same throughout different versions of the Sun hardware it was
mounted upon. This being the original sun hardware, then Sun Netra 20 and Sun Netra 440. In R23 another Sun platform is introduced for the OMC-R due to End Of Life of the other platforms, the Sun Netra T5440. However along
with this new platform the OMC-R capacity is increased. The interfaces to and management of the RAN elements has
not changed so the new platform is backwards compatible but will be able to handle larger RANs than its predicessors.
