HOUSE RULES

SET A (Minor Offenses)


Section 1. No sitting on the table at the ExeCom Area and Legislative Hall.
Section 2. No moving of chairs at the ExeCom Area and Legislative Hall unless permission has
been granted by the authorized officers.
Section 3. No sitting on the staircase.
Section 4. Always turn off the electric fan and unplug when not in use. Initiative at its best.
Section 5. Always keep the door closed especially when the air condition unit is turned on.
Section 6. Always ask permission from the owner of the table if you want to put or leave
something on it.
Section 7. No personal belongings shall be put on the benches at the Service Area, ExeCom
Area, and Legislative Hall. There are designated areas for your belongings.
Section 8. STRICTLY NO LYING DOWN on the floor and benches especially at the ExeCom
Area and Legislative Hall except for special cases.
Section 9. Non Officers are NOT ALLOWED to stand by or stay at the Legislative Hall and
ExeCom Area except for some important matters that are to be discussed with the officer/s
responsible. If permitted by the authorized officer/s, there shall only be two persons who are
allowed to do so at a time.
Section 10. Strictly observe turning on (starts at 7:00 a.m.) and off (12:00 noon-1p.m. and 7:00
p.m. onwards ) of the air condition unit.
Section 11. Always put/save your SSC related files in the proper folder where it should
belong.
Section 12. Personal files should be immediately deleted after use..
Section 13. Computer Units situated at the ExeCom Area and Legislative Hall except the print
for less service area shall only be used for Research, academic purposes, SSC related courses
and organizational matters. Opening of social networking sites is STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED
from 7:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m. in the Main Campus and from 7:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. in the Basak
Campus unless if necessary.
Sanctions for SET A (Minor Offenses)
1st Offense: Verbal Warning, and immediate recording in the Log Book.
2nd Offense: A fine of Php. 5.00.
3rd Offense: A fine of Php. 15.00.
4th Offense: A fine of Php. 20.00.
NOTE: ANY SUCCEEDING VIOLATION BEYOND THE FOURTH OFFENSE SHALL BE
REPRIMANDED BY THE AUTHORIZED PERSON/S IN ANY CASES. SANCTIONS AND
VIOLATIONS SHALL BE VOIDED EVERY MONTH. HOWEVER, IF THE LIABLE PERSON/S
HAD ALREADY HEEDED THE SANCTIONS AND VIOLATIONS, THE DEGREE OF OFFENSE
SHALL STILL BE CONTINUALLY RECORDED UNTIL THE MONTH ENDS.
SET B (Major Offenses)
Section 1. Vociferous / Boisterous laughing, shouting, playing of loud music and any other form
of noise pollution are NOT ALLOWED.
Section 2. Always observe cleanliness and proper order of things.
Section 3. Always throw your garbage properly. Perishable goods and drinks SHALL NOT be
thrown inside the office.
Section 4. Public Display of Affection (PDA) within the office is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
Section 5. No using of materials from Borrow Ko Beh unless if needed. IDs shall also be
surrendered.

Section 6. Non Submission of furnished Resolutions, Committee Reports, Council Acts,


Liquidations, and any other papers and tasks requested by an officer on time.
Section 7. Always arrive on or before the agreed time for SSC events, sessions and meetings.
Section 8. Late settlement of penalties sanctioned by COJ
Section 9. Spending event budget for materials and services not related to the event and
without the approval of event heads and COBAF Chairperson.
Section 10. Partisanship in the council such as wearing anything related to parties when
inside the office, making use of the office and its materials for party events and paraphernalia,
airing out personal biases against officers from different parties.
Sanctions for SET B (Major Offenses)
1st Offense: Verbal Warning and immediate recording in the Log Book.
2nd Offense: Another Verbal Warning with a fine of Php. 10.00 and a one (1) day general
cleaning in the office (1 week duration in no succeeding days).
3rd Offense: A fine of Php. 15.00 and a one (1) day general cleaning in the office (1 week
duration in no succeeding days).
4th Offense: A fine of Php. 15.00 and a one (1) day general cleaning in the office (1 week
duration in no succeeding days).
5th Offense: Promulgation of a letter of apology.
NOTE FOR THE GENERAL CLEANING: THE LIABLE PERSON SHALL HAVE TO WRITE A
LETTER ADDRESSED TO THE CHAIRMAN OF THE COMMITTEE ON JUSTICE THROUGH
THE CHAIRMAN OF THE COMMITTEE ON REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE, WITH AT LEAST
TWO (2) WITNESSES WITH AFFIXED SIGNATURE OVER PRINTED NAME
MANIFESTATION OF HAVING ACCOMPLISHED THE TASK.
SET C (Grave Offense)
Section 1. Non Observance of the Supreme Student Councils Facebook page guidelines.
Section 2. Non Observance of duty schedules and sessions without valid excuse.
Section 3. Deviation from the Constitution and By Laws of the Supreme Student Council.
Sanctions of SET C (Grave Offenses)
1st Offense: Warning with a fine of Php. 20.00 and one (1) day general cleaning.
2nd Offense: One (1) day general cleaning, a fine of Php. 20.00 and a promulgation of a letter
of apology.
3rd Offense: Impeachment to be endorsed by the Committee on Justice Chairman through a
resolution in the ground of insubordination.
NOTE: EVERY VIOLATION MATTER SHOULD BE FILED THROUGH THE VIOLATION
FORMS AND SHOULD BE DROPPED IN THE VIOLATION DROP BOX. VIOLATIONS WILL
BE POSTED EVERY WEEK WITH THE CORRESPONDING PENALTIES. PAYMENTS
SHOULD BE SETTLED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE (NOT BEYOND 2 WEEKS FROM THE TIME
THE VIOLATIONS ARE POSTED).
FAILURE TO EXECUTE / PERFORM THE
CORRESPONDING SANCTION SUCH AS PAYMENT AND GENERAL CLEANING SHALL BE
REPRIMANDED BY THE AUTHORIZED PERSON/S.
