of the World Wide Web and was first conceived in 1990

embedded
HTML 4.01

HTML is the "hidden" code that helps us communicate with others on the World Wide
Web (WWW).

Every web page is actually a HTML file. Each HTML file is just a plain-text file, but with a
.html file extension instead of .txt, and is made up of many HTML tags as well as the content
for a web page.
A web site will often contain many html files that link to each other. You can edit HTML files
with your favourite editor.
HTML Tags

HTML tags are the hidden keywords within a web page that define how the browser must
format and display the content.

HTML5 is a cooperation between the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the Web
Hypertext Application Technology Working Group (WHATWG).

Browser Support
The latest versions of Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Opera all support
many HTML5 features and Internet Explorer 9.0 will also have support for some HTML5
functionality.
The mobile web browsers that come pre-installed on iPhones, iPads, and Android phones all
have excellent support for HTML5.

The first web browser was introduced in 1993 and the name was MOSAIC. The First Draft
