INT. NEW YORK CITY - APARTMENT - BATHROOM - DAY

ANTHONY. 18. Dominican. Tall and well-built. A smooth Romeo.
He stands naked over the toilet, masturbating. A laptop rests
on the toilet lid. The sounds of PORN play o.s.
ANTHONY (V.O.)
All my life I loved pussy. My mom
says that even as a baby, whenever
I saw a beautiful woman, like on
the train and shit...I would bat my
eyes, like I was flirting.
Anthony looks up to the ceiling. Closes his eyes.
ANTHONY
Fuck. Fuck...
BANG BANG on the door.
KATHERINE (O.S.)
Hurry up, I have to pee!
ANTHONY
Im taking a shit!
KATHERINE (O.S.)
Yeah right, you beating your little
meat!
He stares back at the screen with purpose.
ANTHONY
Come on...come on.
BANG BANG
Anthony comes into the toilet bowl. His face contorts, an
intense orgasm runs through his entire body.
OUTSIDE BATHROOM DOOR - MOMENTS LATER
Anthonys sister KATHERINE. 15 and chubby. In a bathrobe. She
texts on her phone.
KATHERINE
Im telling everyone on Facebook
that you were jerking off in there!
The toilet flushes. Anthony exits wrapped in a towel, laptop
in hand.

2.
ANTHONY
Fuck you fat bitch.
KATHERINE
Mom! Anthony called me a bitch!
MOMS VOICE
Anthony! Get your ass in here!
Katherine smiles, gives Anthony the finger.
INT. APARTMENT BUILDING - MASTER BEDROOM - DAY
YAHIRA. 38. Puerto Rican. Paints her toe nails. Watches TV.
YAHIRA
Come here. Shut the door.
Anthony shuts the door. She mutes the TV.
YAHIRA (CONTD)
What I tell you about calling your
sister a bitch?
ANTHONY
She started it.
(in Spanish)
Call your sister a bitch again and
Ima cut your tongue out. Hear me?
Yeah.

ANTHONY (CONTD)

YAHIRA
Dont yeah me.
She looks at his muscular physique.
Sit down.

YAHIRA (CONTD)

He sits on the edge of the bed.

YAHIRA (CONTD)
You using the condoms I gave you?
Maybe.

ANTHONY

She cocks her head; did he really just say that?.

3.
YAHIRA
I aint trying to be no grandma in
my thirties Anthony.
(beat)
Look, Im not saying not to have
fun, Im saying use the rubbers.
OK?
OK.

ANTHONY

She opens a drawer and tosses him a RED CONDOM

YAHIRA
When your ready to settle down,
find a white girl. A smart one. I
gave you and your sister white
names for a reason.
ANTHONY
I thought you said you named me
after Saint Anthony?
YAHIRA
Thats the main reason yea...
But still. Stay away from these
Dominican bitches. They bad news.
You hear me?
He nods. She grabs his face lovingly with ownership.
YAHIRA (CONTD)
You hear me?
Yes.

ANTHONY

YAHIRA
Gimme a kiss.
He kisses her on the cheek.
YAHIRA (CONTD)
And watch your mouth!
She turns the TVs volume back on, laughs hysterically.
ANTHONYS BEDROOM - MOMENTS LATER
Anthony lays on his bed, staring at the ceiling.

4.
ANTHONY (V.O.)
My moms was right about one
thing...I love white girls. Vanilla
ice cream, mmmm, my favorite. Only
thing is I dont like white girls
my age. I like a woman with
experience. I love dem milfs.
Always have, always will.
He reaches for the laptop.
ON LAPTOP - PORN SCENE
A WHITE FEMALE PORNSTAR. 40. COMES FROM AROUND HER DESK IN A
BLOUSE AND SKIRT A FEW SIZES TOO SMALL. SHE SITS ON THE DESK
AND SPREADS HER LEGS. A MALE STUDENT. 21. HE RISES FROM HIS
DESK AND KNEELS BEFORE HER. BURIES HIS FACE IN HER CROTCH.
A SCHOOL BELL RINGS.
INT. CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL - CLASS ROOM - DAY
Anthony sits at a desk. Draws in a notebook.
ON NOTEBOOK
A caricature of a TEACHER with an exaggerated bust and rear.
MRS. LAMPASSI (O.S.)
You say you love the rain, but open
your umbrella when it rains.
MRS. LAMPASSI, 30s, working class Italian brunette. She
reads from a book, Boston accent.
MRS. LAMPASSI (CONTD)
...You say that you love the sun,
but you find a shadow spot when the
sun shines. You say that you love
the wind, but you close your
windows when wind blows. This is
why I am afraid; you say that you
love me too.
She scans the faces of HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS in UNIFORMS.
MRS. LAMPASSI (CONTD)
Selena. Whats this poem about?
SELENA, cute with too much makeup, gathers her thoughts.

5.
SELENA
I think the authors trying to say
that love isnt real. Like it is
real, but its also a lie. Kinda
like a fairy tale.
MRS. LAMPASSI
So love is a lie?
SELENA
Yeah...I think.
MRS. LAMPASSI
Anyone else? Rafael.
RAFAEL, a wanna-be thug stirs from nap.
RAFAEL
Well, hes writing this to a girl
right? So its like hes trying to
check her. Cause girls be acting
like they like bad guys. But then
when they get cheated on, they
curse us out and cry. Hes saying,
girls dont know what they really
want, but hes making it sound
poetic. Live reverse psychology. I
think its some good game Mrs.
Lampassi.
The class laughs.
MRS. LAMPASSI
Thank you Rafael. How bout you
Anthony?
He adjusts his posture, confident.
ANTHONY
To me this poem is about fear. The
authors using love as a metaphor.
But its about life. See, love can
make us forget about the mystery of
life. The unknown that scares us
all. I mean he even says it, Im
afraid. Because nothing lasts
forever. Not even love.
The classroom is quiet. The girls view Anthony in a new
light, even the guys are impressed.
MRS. LAMPASSI
Very good Anthony. Well said.

6.
She lingers in his eye-line for a moment. The SCHOOL BELL
RINGS and the students disperse.
MRS. LAMPASSI (CONTD)
Dont forget chapters four and five
for tomorrow, and one original poem
due Friday.
EXT. ENTRANCE OF GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE - DAY
Anthony stands on the sidewalk, the on-ramp to New Jersey.
A BLACK SUV pulls up. Hazard lights flash. Anthony hops in.
INT. BLACK SUV - CONTINUOUS
Mrs. Lampassi drives the car.
Hey.
Hi.

MRS. LAMPASSI
ANTHONY

Anthony puts on his seat belt. She drives off. He puts his
hand on her thigh, she smirks.
INT. NEW JERSEY - MOTEL ROOM - LATER
Anthony and Mrs. Lampassi lie in bed naked. He rests his head
on her breast, curled up like a child.
She lights a cigarette and blows smoke across the dim-lit
room. Strokes his hair maternally.
MRS. LAMPASSI
You were good today.
ANTHONY
So were you.
She laughs.
MRS. LAMPASSI
I meant in class. Youre lucky to
have such a good curriculum. In
Boston the only book I taught was
Anne Frank. Talk about depressing.
ANTHONY
Do you miss it? Boston.

7.
MRS. LAMPASSI
My family and friends. Not the
school. I like it here better.
ANTHONY
Im glad you moved.
She puts the cigarette out in an ashtray.
MRS. LAMPASSI
Im gonna shower.
Not yet.

ANTHONY

She looks to her watch.

MRS. LAMPASSI
Its getting late.
ANTHONY
I want to stay here with you.
Forever.
MRS. LAMPASSI
Youre mother would miss you too
much.
He looks up at her and they kiss passionately. He slides his

breasts. Goes down on her.

steaming cup of tea. She has a black-eye, looks depressed.

throws her hands up in disbelief; what are you doing here?
Too sad to be enraged, she moves to the sliding door.
EXT. MRS. LAMPASSIS HOUSE - DECK - CONTINUOUS
Anthony presses his hand to the glass. She stares at him for
a beat. Slides the door open.
MRS. LAMPASSI

MRS. LAMPASSI
You should go.
ANTHONY

MRS. LAMPASSI
Hes coming back from a hunting
trip.
ANTHONY
We should both leave. Together.
Its not safe for you here.

10.
She turns and faces him.
MRS. LAMPASSI
It was sweet of you to check on me.
(beat)
But now you have to go.
She gets out bed and throws on a robe.
ANTHONY
But he hit you. You think he wont
do it again?
MRS. LAMPASSI
I know hell do it again. But hes
my husband. And Im your teacher.
ANTHONY
Thats bullshit.
MRS. LAMPASSI
Thats life Anthony!
(beat)
Ill call you a cab.
EXT. MRS. LAMPASSIS HOUSE - DRIVEWAY - INTERCUT
A LINCOLN TOWN CAR pulls into the driveway. The driver-side

MRS. LAMPASSI (CONTD)

MAN (O.S.)

as if preserved.
Anthony moves to the closet and hides inside.
MASTER BEDROOM - INTERCUT
Mrs. Lampassi makes the bed quickly. Sprays air freshener.
She jumps into bed. Pretends to be caught up in a novel.
The Man enters and we get a clear shot of his face. Meet her
husband COLE, the same man who spotted Anthony leaving her
SUV the night before. He wears jeans and a camouflage
hunters jacket.
MRS. LAMPASSI
Hey. How was your trip?
COLE
Why are the lights off? You know I
dont like to walk into a dark
house.
She looks to the clock on the bedside table.

12.
MRS. LAMPASSI
I didnt know youd be home so
early.
He looks around the room. Takes a whiff. Something isnt
right to him.
MRS. LAMPASSI (CONTD)
Want me to heat up your dinner?
He grills her with a penetrating stare. Walks into the
bathroom.
BATHROOM - CONTINUOUS
Cole runs his fingers inside the sink, inspects the surface.
He slides the shower curtain open and peers in.

MRS. LAMPASSI
Learn what?
She lights a cigarette.
COLE
(gentle)
Come here.
MRS. LAMPASSI
I really want to finish this book
Cole.

13.
COLE
(playful)
I said, come here.
She puts down the book. Puts the cigarette in the ashtray.
Slides to him.
Cole holds her gently against his chest. Smells her hair. He
whispers into her ear.
MRS. LAMPASSI
Youre a fucking liar.
He grips a fist-full of her hair.
MRS. LAMPASSI (CONTD)
Ow. Cole youre hurting me!
He throws her to the bed and stands.
COLE
Again?! Again?!
I didnt-

MRS. LAMPASSI

He jams his hand between her legs, feels her wetness.

Disgusted he wipes off her juice on the bedspread.
COLE
Hes still here isnt he.
He studies her, gauging the truth. He pulls a handgun from
his inner coat pocket. Cocks the hammer. Walks around the
room. He looks under the bed, in the bathroom, closet, etc.
COLE (CONTD)
Where is he?
LAUREN

ANTHONY
Get off me Man! I didnt do
anything!
COLE
Oh no? Youre just fucking my wife!
Mrs. Lampassi runs into the room.

He points the gun in Anthonys face, shoves him towards the
door.

COLE (O.S.)
What about his parents?
MRS. LAMPASSI
Just the mother. Hes got a sister.
COLE (O.S.)
Does anyone else know?
MRS. LAMPASSI
No. Hes different Cole. He wont
say anything. He listens to me.
Reveal Cole on the opposite side. His gun rests on the table.
COLE
Im not moving again.
MRS. LAMPASSI
What are you gonna do?!
COLE
I told you what would happen.
He grabs his pistol and walks out the kitchen.
BASEMENT - NIGHT
Anthony stands handcuffed to a pipe. Duct-tape around his
mouth.
Cole walks down a set of stairs. Stares daggers into Anthony.
COLE
Im gonna ask you some questions. I

Anthony nods yes.
Cole rips the tape off, Anthony cringes from the pain.
COLE (CONTD)
Did you tell anyone about the two
of you? Any of your pals? Anyone?
No.

ANTHONY

16.
COLE
You sure? You Didnt brag to your

ANTHONY
Nah man. Im not like that. And I

COLE
How did you get here?
ANTHONY
I took the bus. Then I walked.
COLE
Did you tell anyone where you were
going?

Anthony turns.
COLE (CONTD)
You think because youre young, you
get a free pass?
Anthony shakes his head no.
COLE (CONTD)
You play a mans game, you deal
with the stakes. You pay the
consequences.
Anthony tries to speak through the gag, utterly terrified.
COLE (CONTD)
What do you want to say? Youre
sorry you fucked her. Or let me
guess, that youre in love. Well I
got news for you shithead. You
aint the first student shes
fucked.
Anthony, in disbelief.

18.
COLE (CONTD)
Thats right. Shes sick. But shes
mine. So Its my job to take care
of her.
He screws on a SILENCER to the barrel of the gun.
COLE (CONTD)
Get on your knees.
Anthony begs for his life.
COLE (CONTD)
Get on your fucking knees!
Anthony sinks to the ground. He looks to the sky. Prays for a
miracle.
COLE (CONTD)
You fucked the wrong mans wife
asshole.
Anthony closes his eyes.
COLE (CONTD)
May God forgive me.
He raises the gun...takes aim...
An ARROW strikes Cole in the back -- STRAIGHT THROUGH HIS
HEART.
He looks down at the bloody arrow in disbelief. Turns slowly
to reveal Mrs. Lampassi with the bow in hand.
Cole aims the gun at her -- she releases another ARROW -- it
lands inches away from the first, penetrating clean through
the other side, SO THAT THE ARROWHEADS RUN PARALLEL IN
OPPOSITE DIRECTION.
Cole coughs up blood. Sinks to his knees.
COLE (CONTD)
Fucking...bitch.
He falls face-first in the dirt, dies.
Mrs. Lampassi rushes to Anthony, rips the tape off his mouth
MRS. LAMPASSI
Are you OK?
ANTHONY
You killed him.

19.
She digs through Coles pockets. Finds the keys to the
handcuffs. Sets Anthony free.
She pulls the arrow out of Coles back.
ANTHONY (CONTD)
What are you doing? We have to call
the cops.
MRS. LAMPASSI
We cant do that.
Why not?

ANTHONY

MRS. LAMPASSI
Because he is a cop.
ANTHONY
What?! As in police?
MRS. LAMPASSI
Yea, and If we dont cover this up,
well both go to prison. Do you
understand? Well never see each
other again. Our lives will be
ruined.
The gravity of this news hits him like a ton of bricks.
ANTHONY
But it was self-defense. He tried
to kill me.
MRS. LAMPASSI
No ones gonna believe that. We
need to get rid of the body. And I
need you to help me.

heart. She surveys her surroundings, focused and alert.
