Dear Attendee:

YOU’RE INVITED! It’s time to start planning for Green Legal Matters – the First Annual Green Legal
Symposium, which will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana. This first-of-a-kind conference is designed
to combine the best and brightest legal minds and products for the greening of America in a year
that promises to be the year of the green professional! It will offer many opportunities to initiate
positive and lasting relationships with both Green, Legal and specifically, “Green Legal” professionals
from around the world.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: This conference is designed for legal professionals who are interested in the
opportunities that the Green movement presents, specifically those interested in:

• Learning from green/legal industry visionaries

• Mitigating environmental risk
• Defending litigation related to environmental issues
• Complying with EPA, OSHA and other regulatory bodies
• Green building and architecture
• Building a "green-legal" practice
• LEED AP Certification

We’re offering a half day of LEED® seminars. First, a course that contextualizes LEED for the legal
professional, followed by an optional introduction to LEED and Green Associate Accreditation training,
which offers a certificate that will fulfill the requirement to apply for the Leed Green Associate exam. The
classes will be taught by a LEED AP certified trainer and are sanctioned by the US Green Building
Council. Finally, we will be offering traditional legal CLE credits for the conference educational sessions.

The conference also presents an opportunity to provide service to the still-recovering 9th Ward from
Hurricane Katrina via Brad Pitt’s Make It Right Foundation. A portion of the conference proceeds will be
donated to the Gulf Coast Legal Tech Center, a non-profit offering pro bono legal services.

Green Legal Matters will be held at the Westin Canal Place, April 26-28th, 2010. An exhibit area is
designed specifically to put you in contact with providers of products and professional services that
complement your Green Legal practice area. We invite you to join us for this exciting event and to enjoy
the pleasure of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on both the prior and following weekends.
