Signals

Transitional signals = cohesive devices = signposting


=linking words
use these word to express transitional signals :
First, second, therefore, however, moreover
To begin with, in addition, in one hand, in brief, to sum
up

Some transitional signals have occasions :


Presenting the same idea (similarly, moreover,
furthermore, additionally)
An opposite idea (however, yet, nevertheless, in
contrast)
An example (for example, in case point of)
A result (as a result, consequently, hence)
A conclusion (to sum up, in conclusion)
