Thiscourseoffersacomprehensiveapproachtounderstandingtheimportanceoffinancial
managementinmanagingprojects.Corporationsinvestalargeamountofmoneyincapacity
creationbasedoncertainfinancialassumptionsthatprotecttheassetsoforganizations.Project
managersthushavetheobligationandresponsibilitytoensureproperuseofcapitalassignedto
themandtomeetallprojectobjectives.Timeismoneyandprojectmanagersmustappreciatethe
importanceoffinancialmanagementinfinancialaccounting,managerialaccounting,and
corporatefinancetomakeeffectiveprojectdecisions.
CourseObjective
FinanceforProjectManagersexamineswherethecostswithinaprojectaregeneratedandhow
theycanbecontrolledandreportedonfromwithintheproject.Itreviewstheuseofproject
budgetandthemonitoringofvariance.Inadditiontostandardcostcontrolthecoursecoversthe
useofEarnedValueMeasurementandhowthiscanbeused.Thecourseisinteractiveand
