Introduction

Video files are collections of images, audio etc..


Every video file has some attributes that describe
what makes up the video signal. These
characteristics include:
a) Frame Size
b) Aspect Ratio
c) Bitrate
d) Audio Sample rate.

Type of Video Signals

Analog Video
a) Composite Video
b) S Video
c) Component Video

(Sync (timing) , Luminance (Black & White) often

1. NTSC (National Television System Committee) /
RS 170A
) 30 frames are Tx per seconds (60 fields/sec)
) Each frame is made up of 525 individual scan
lines
) Interlaced Video
) Used in America (countries having 60Hz Power
Supply)

2. PAL (Phase Alternating Line)
) 25 frames are Tx per seconds (50 fields/sec)
) Each frame is made up of 625 individual scan
lines
