DESCRIPTION:
Dull aching pain of the perineum, bladder, and sacrum, generally radiating in a sciatic fashion, with
associated paresthesias and paralysis, due to compression of the spinal nerve roots. Usual course - chronic.
CAUSES:
lumbar spondylosis with cauda equina compression
congenital narrowing of lumbar canal
TREATMENT
decompressive laminectomy
rest
