Stroud Table Tennis Club Annual General Meeting held on 30th August 2014.

Jim thanked the members for attending and outlined the background to the meeting the STTC was
now a freestanding club, affiliated to the League, but separately managed.
Copies of the Constitution and Five Year Plan were distributed for members to read.
The club was a key part of the Five Year Plan and would manage the Youth League and the School
Satellite Clubs. The Marling after school club would be restarting on 15th September, and in
October a new club at KLB school would start. The Youth League, National Cadet team and
National Junior teams would all come under the management of STTC.
Under the constitution, a membership fee structure would be needed and this was discussed.
Various levels of fees were proposed and discussed but a proposal by Jane Leigh, seconded by Mike
May that senior players would pay 5 and juniors 3 per year was carried. Playing fees would be 3
per session for all ages. This was carried.
The Constitution was proposed by Mark Frape and seconded by Dave Adamson and was approved
by those members present.
Election of Officers: The nominated officers were proposed by Dave Harvey and seconded by
Dave Adamson and were elected en bloc
Chairperson: Jim Hurford.
Vice Chairperson: John Crowther
General Secretary: Julien Crowther
Treasurer: Dave Lloyd
Head Coach: Graham Slack
Assistant Head Coach: Dave Adamson
Development Officer: Jim Hurford
Youth League Organiser: Jim Hurford
Minutes Secretary: Julien Crowther
Welfare Officer: Julien Crowther
Junior Team manager : a volunteer would be sought. Mike Shilton to be asked.
Publicity officer: Jane Leigh
Other committee members Mike May and Chris James.
Finance: the new club would have a separate bank account and the new fees would start from 1st
September. All club members would need to register with Table Tennis England for insurance
purposes.
Any Other Business: Dave Harvey asked if grants were being sought the Sport England
application was in progress. The Premier Club status was also in progress.
Dave Adamson asked if we would need to ask the League for anything only if their support was
needed. Mike May asked about young players feeding into the League there were contacts
available for all clubs. STTC could run teams of its own in the next season. Mike offered space for
two teams at the Nailsworth venue.
A practice session followed the AGM free of charge this time.
