Romanias Forests - Where Have Trees Disappeared?

It is well known that the Romanias forests are, or much better said according
to the present, were, one of the most beautiful and natural places from
Europe.
Their sparkling green and the fairytale atmosphere were some distinct
elements for the people who had come to Romania to see and admire the
greatness of forests. But those things are history now.
Romanias forests are exploited beyond any limit and too fast. By the end of
the 19th century, Romania was covered in 80% of forests, but in present the
forests has reached only a quarter of the country, Romania covering below
the European average of 30%.
The forests are a very important element for the Planets health. For
example, the forests help the Earths climate, storing nearly 300 billion tons
of carbon and also regulate the water flow and the rainfalls of which the
farmers need for their cultures.
Worldwide, the wood material is used in a proportion of 17% for
papermaking. But for this, it must to be cut a significant number of trees. So
to produce one ton of plain paper - 20 trees are needed, to get a ton of
printer paper - 24 trees are needed and for a ton of newsprint - 12 trees are
needed. Also, the trees are used in constructions, for furniture or they can be
exported to the countries which have realized that to cut their trees is not an
economical and beneficial thing for their forests.
The decisive step in stopping the deforestation from Romania it must be
done by the forest companies which have an important role in cutting the
trees and by the Environmental Clearance, The ministry of Environment and
the Ministry of Agriculture.

These are the first who must realize the problem and the serious
consequences of deforestation and to focus their attention on saving the
nature and act immediately.
