The distribution ArcHydroTools_v1_0_beta2.zip contains the following files:


- setup.exe: Arc Hydro Tools installation setup.
Run this setup to install the Arc Hydro Tools,version 1.0 beta 2.
Prerequisite: ArcGIS8.1.2 or ArcGIS8.2, with the Spatial Analyst Extension,
must be installed.
- Arc Hydro Tools Overview_v1.0 Beta2.doc: introduction to the Arc Hydro Tools
.
- Arc Hydro Tools Tutorial_v1.0 Beta2.doc: hands on tutorial explaining how to
use the Arc Hydro Tools in ArcMap.
- Arc Hydro Tools Help_v1.0 Beta2.doc: printed version of the online documenta
tion
accessible by clicking on help when using a tool.
- Arc Hydro HydroID_V1.0 Beta2.doc: explanation of the HydroID concept.
A HydroID is a unique identifier across one or several databases.
- Global Delineation with EDNA Data_v1.0 Beta2.doc: process to setup the EDNA
data to perform global delineations.
- Arc Hydro Defect_v1.0 Beta2.doc: form to report defects to archydro@esri.com
.

What you should do:
1/ Read the document Arc Hydro Tools Overview_v1.0 Beta2.doc, which provides
a general description of the Arc Hydro tools.
2/ Follow the instructions in the document Arc Hydro Tools Tutorial_v1.0 Beta2.d
oc
to install the tools (using setup.exe), and to start using them, beginning with
one Digital Elevation Model as input data.
3/ Read the online help to obtain more details about how the tools work. This h
elp is
accessible directly in ArcMap by clicking on the help button when running the to
ols.
The printed version, Arc Hydro Tools Help_v1.0 Beta2.doc, is included in this di
stribution.
4/ Read the document Arc Hydro HydroID_V1.0 Beta2.doc if you want a better under
standing
of the unique hydro identifier, HydroID.
5/ Read the "Global Delineation with EDNA Data_v1.0 Beta2 to understand the glob
al delineation function.
6/ Fill one Arc Hydro Defect.doc form for each defect/enhancement request you fi
nd, and submit it
to archydro@esri.com. Each form will be reviewed, and appropriate action will be

taken.
You will be updated about the status of the defect/enhancement request.
