Test Corrections

Test corrections give students an opportunity to analyze and to learn from their
errors.
To complete test corrections, follow the steps below.
1. Divide a notebook page into three columns as shown below.
2. The first column should contain the problem on which the errors were made.
Be sure to identify the source (quiz or test) and the problem number.
3. The second column should display exactly what you did to get your answer
(including work or words). Your entire answer should be copied into this
column from the original test. Also include a sentence that describes your
error. (I made a sign mistake, when I added -3 and -5, I got +8 instead of -8)
4. The third column is for the correction. Show all work and highlight the
answer.
5. Separate the problems with horizontal lines. Do not restrict the length of any
column.
