The student and their classmates visited a nursing home called Rumah Aman to spend time with the elderly residents and do charity work. They listened to the residents share stories from their lives and played games with them. The students also sang songs and read newspapers for enjoyment. While the students felt happy to help and spend time with the residents, they also felt sad to leave because they had bonded with the elderly folks who lived at the home without family to support them.

and I started our journey to Rumah Aman, a nursing home at Jalan USS 7/13 , Petaling Jaya. We went there by bus. It took about one hour to reach there. Pn. Norazita and Pn. Alimah, our teachers also accompanied us there. We where there from 11 am till 4 pm.
My classmates and I went there to learn about their life
and to spend time doing charity work. The old folks are very kind and happy to see us. We sat together while listening their stories. Some talked about their families and some talked about their life. Some of their stories are very upset.
At the afternoon, we had some tea and biscuits that
was provided by Rumah Aman. The joy and the laughter during the meal made its special. After that, we read some newspaper for them.
Then we played some games. They are many
interesting games that are suitable for them. Such as, riddle and puzzles. Their face are very excited and happy. After that we sang a song. My friend, Daneal played the guitar while the others sang Old Mcdonald song. The old folk name Uncle Leong very good in singing.
We also met Puan Nur Sarimah, the owner of Rumah
Aman and Uncle Roshdi, the second person to join the home.
When it was the time to leave, I felt very happy
because I had visited the old folks home. I also felt very sad to leave that home because I had assume them as my grandparents. These old folks did not have any shelter besides this home and they did not have the comforts I had, but they did not moan. Before I leave the home, I gived some gift to them for their remembrance.
