Experiment
In the experiment we did we looked at how fast the water that we used
will soak down in the soil beneath, we done this experiment to show if the
surface below is impermeable or permeable and to see if the soil, which is
the surface below, can take more water if it has water already soaked up
in it.
In the experiment that we did we used a bottle which was 500ml of water,
we also used a stop watch that timed how fast the water took to travel
down into the surface below, we included the plastic tube see if the
surface will sink because of the water that we had put into it, last of all we
used a recording sheet to record our results for the experiment.
The first experiment we did was the grass, the grass was 56 seconds
which was the fastest out of all the experiments that we did this was
because the grass has more wider pores which allow the water to go
through faster this is permeable it allows water to go through it. The
second experiment we did was the tarmac it was the slowest out all of the
experiments we did the tarmac took over two minutes to evaporate form
the surface. This was because the tarmac has no pore which doesnt allow
the water to go through it so this was impermeable. The last experiment
we did was concrete it took 1 minute 5 seconds this was because the
pores wasnt big enough for the water to sink in the pores.

This graphs shows that the bigger the pores the faster the water will sink
in the ground also this graph shows that the tarmac took the longest
because it had no pore so it will just run of the surface and take time it
evaporate also this is an impermeable.
