Date: 9.14 Scaffolding requirements and acceptance j Provide ledgers/runners tightly connected into vertical post (standard) at every maximum of 2.0m lift. Every scaffold platform shall be diagonally braced at all sides started at every 6.0m high. Transom pipes should be connected by means of single coupler on ledgers /runners. 9.5 Box tie and out rigger support - When scaffold reach the height more than 4 times of base width, the scaffold must be tied up into any structural members or have to install out-rigger to prevent scaffold for turning down. 9.6 Installation of scaffold planks - scaffold wood plank should be placed supported perpendicular into transom pipe. Loose Planks must be properly secured from falling by using board clamp or wire by lashing. 9.7 Install guarding system - Top-rail, mid-rail and toe board must be placed at all open sides of scaffold and tightly connected into post (standard). The top rail shall be place 38mm to 45mm from top of platform and mid rail shall be placed in the middle between top rail and toe board. 9.8 Provide proper access - Proper access shall be installed by means of straight ladder placed at narrowest side of scaffolds. Straight ladders should be place vertically inclined and tightly connected into ledgers by means of single clamps or ladder clamps. 9.9. Inspection for scaffold tagging system - inspection shall be conducted either _ by Authorized Scaffold Inspector or Scaffold Supervisor or both depending upon the job responsibilities assigned to them. 9.10 Only complete scaffold shall be green tag for safe use. Scaffolding tags shall be placed visually at every entry access points of scaffold platforms. 9.11 Re-inspection must be repeated and sign at every 14 days from previous inspection, alterations and at times of adverse weather conditions. 9.12 Propping support for columns formworks - when scaffold are used to support propping of formworks, scaffold must be reinforced by providing additional extra braces and tightly connected into ground support or by providing additional extra span or bay-length of scaffolds to counter the lateral forces. 9.13 Where ever fall protection is required proper life line to be installed as per the requirement mentioned in Saudi Aramco CSI Fall Protection iveh in the table below.axgonupsoseu!
