Introduction
SBI is the largest bank of India with over
16000 branches all over India, an asset
base of $250 billion and $195 billion in
deposits.
SBI branch, Vastrapur as our organization for
the project.
Main functions:
Administration: The activities related to
operations of the branch like allocation of
work, maintaining discipline, payroll etc.
Cross-selling of products: The sales of
products like insurance, credit cards etc.
Services: The services like cheque/draft
facilities, account transactions etc form the
backbone of the organization.
Process Selected:

Processes related to the profitability of the


branch.
Rationale: SBI has the largest network of
branches across India and to sustain such
a large network it needs to monitor the
profitability of the branches.

 Key Activities:
 Loans: Disbursal ad collection of loans, Non-
performing assets etc.
 Cross-selling of products: addition/renewal of
insurance policies, addition of new credit card
clients etc.
 Services like account deposits/drafts
 Forex : Number and amount of transactions etc.
 Roles and responsibilities:
 Branch Manager takes care of the profitability and
exception reports from the employees of the
branch.
 Manager Operations takes care of the staff
management, customer complaints etc. He is also
responsible for smooth delivery of customer
services.
 Salespersons are responsible for selling credit cards,
insurance etc to prospective clients by contacting
them.
