session. You have not successfully passed Organic Chemistry 1 with a C or
better. Please retake Organic Chemistry 1 and you will be able to sign up for
Organic Chemistry 2 again

Hello, I understand what you are saying and I appreciate you for telling me,
however, I have concerns about the timing of the arrival for this information.
I would like to respectfully express my concerns and hope that you can help me,
or guide me in the direction of who to speak to in order to get this situation
resolved:
I have already taken Organic Chemistry 2 lecture in Spring of 2015. My plans for
this Summer B semester involved retaking the class since I was not as
successful as I would have liked. If what you are telling me is correct, then I am
slightly confused as to why I was able to take and complete the whole semester
in the first place, and what implications arise from this situation. If I wouldve
known in advance that I could not take Organic 2 because I did not meet the
requirement and was not ready, then I could have taken another class in its place
like a major class or a different prerequisite class. Instead, I spent my time and
money for a 3-credit class that I was not even allowed to take.
Im also concerned that the credits from this course that have been added onto
my overall academic career are invalid, and could potentially take away from a
class I may need to take in senior year due to the max credit amount that FIU
standardizes as part of the credit surcharge. Thus, I respectfully request to
remove this class from my academic transcript and receive a refund for the class,
as I was not informed when I originally enrolled into the course in Spring 2015,
resulting in my time, money, and efforts not being directed to where they needed
to be.
I am aware that it is probably out of the hands of the Chemistry Department,
which is why I am asking to be pointed in the right direction so that I can get this
situation sorted out quickly.
I would like to reiterate that I appreciate the notification for the requirement I need
to fulfill, I simply wish I were notified back in January when I originally enrolled in
Organic 2.
