15 x 50g balls
NEEDLES
A pair 6.50mm (US 10), (UK 3) Knitting
Needles; A 6.50mm (US 10), (UK 3) Circular
Needle or size that gives correct tension/
gauge.
MATERIALS
A Yarn Needle.
TENSION/GAUGE
11 sts and 22 rows to 10 cms/4 ins over
stocking st, using 6.50mm (US 10), (UK 3)
Needles.
Note - Correct tension/gauge is essential for
a successful handknit.

Work 2 rows stocking st.


Cont in stocking st and cast on 46 sts at beg
of next 2 rows = 142 sts.
Note - If this number of sts does not fit
comfortably on pair of needles, we suggest
using a circular needle.
Cont in stocking st until work measures 108
cms/43 ins from beg, ending with a purl row.
Cast/bind off 46 sts at beg of next 2 rows =
50 sts.
Work 2 rows stocking st.
Work 4 rows rib (as before).
Cast/bind off loosely in rib.
FINISHING
DO NOT PRESS. Using yarn needle, darn in
ends.
Using yarn needle and a flat seam, join side
edges of armhole openings and following
diagram join A to A and B to B.

side, WS - wrong side, stocking st - 1 row K,
1 row P, rep - repeat, cont - continue, beg

CREATE
Top (worked in one piece)
Using pair 6.50mm (US 10), (UK 3) Needles,
cast on 50 sts.
1st row (RS) - K2, * P2, K2, rep from * to end.
2nd row - P2, * K2, P2, rep from * to end.
Rep 1st and 2nd rows once more = 4 rows
rib in total.
