Announcing the State Consultation for MSM & Transgender organised by MANAS Bangla to
be held in Kolkata between March 18 - 19, 2010.

Objective:
The consultation, the first of its kind in West Bengal, is being envisioned as a space that
will bring together communities of marginalised sexual orientations and gender identities,
from across the state.

The consultation will provide scope for building capacities of communities and community
led groups by way of organising various issue based workshops and discussion forums.

The meeting will be also be the first such interface between communities and policy
makers – government and donor.

The meeting is expected to bring together over 300 members from over 12 districts of
West Bengal.

Delegates
• We are requesting all partner organisations of MANAS Bangla to send 5 (five)
members of their organisation to the Consultation Meeting as Delegates.
• We are requesting to send the names of the delegates to statemeeting@gmail.com
by Friday, March 12, 2010.
Accommodation
• Accommodation will be provided only to out station participants

• Non A/C Basic Dormitory Accommodation with Shared Toilet facilities at:

Youth Hostel, Yuva Bharati Krirangan (Salt Lake Stadium), Salt Lake
(Entry through VIP Gate, on EM By Pass)

Check In:
• Evening, Wednesday, March 17, 2010. ONLY Dinner will be provided

Check Out:
• 12 noon, Saturday, March 20, 2010 (after breakfast). ONLY Breakfast will be
provided

Travel reimbursements (for out of Kolkata participants)

• Organisations are expected to make their own travel arrangements
• MANAS Bangla will reimburse the Sleeper Class Railway Tickets/ Bus Tickets for out
station (Out of Kolkata) participants, who require travelling overnight
• Submission of original Tickets is MANDATORY for claming re-imbursement.
• Please note, no reimbursement claims will be entertained without proper
tickets

Local Travel (for all participants) over and above Travel Reimbursement
• All participants from Kolkata will be reimbursed a maximum of Rs. 200/- only for
the whole duration of the conference as Local Travel which will cover their return
travel from home to conference venue
