There will be four opportunities for students to reflect to themselves and to the group at
predetermined sections of the training.
Students will watch short videos and determine if the video reflects Montessori theory
and practice.
Students will be placed into small groups and have an opportunity to use various
materials to create classroom activities that are Montessori theory and practice based.
Students will write a reflective statement at the conclusion of this training to demonstrate
their knowledge of Montessori theory and practice and how to implement theory and
practice into their programs. The reflective statement will have students answer the
following:
o What do you like about Montessori theory?
o What questions or concerns do you have about Montessori theory?
o What Montessori theory or theories will you incorporate in your classroom?
o What would you need to incorporate your theory or theories into your classroom?

Students will complete an evaluation rating their knowledge before and after the training
and to provide feedback to enhance this training for future students.
