Being Successful
How did my high school education prepare me to be successful in college level courses? Well
during high school I was put in harder classes to give me a challenge. My junior year I would say
my hardest class was anatomy and physiology. My senior year I was in pre-calculus and
chemistry and those were also really challenging. I feel like we couldve been better prepared in
math classes.
The first thing I want to talk about is my junior year in anatomy and physiology. This
subject has prepared me for college because I am currently taking it at the University of
Cincinnati in blue ash. Some of the things that I learned in high school anatomy and physiology
is helping me with the college anatomy and physiology.
The second thing I want to talk about is my junior year taking pre-calculus and chemistry.
These two were the most challenging for me but the helped me be prepared for college. In
chemistry I learned to use the periodic table, I had to remember the configurations, and I learned
about the different types of bonding. In pre-calculus I learned how to do challenging
mathematics. I feel like we shouldve been better prepared in math classes because in college we
have to learn how to do math without using calculators but in high school all we used was
calculators we just plugged in a equation and press enter and it gave us the answer. So if we were
better prepared in high school we would know the answer quicker.

In conclusion high school should be more hard on students because in college the
professors make things tougher and we have deadlines to do assignments and if theyre not done
by the deadline then theres no excuses.
