This serves as the official ORAC Score report on the nutritional product Soul, by Rain International.

Analysis
There are five predominant reactive species found in the body: peroxyl radicals, hydroxyl radicals,
peroxynitrite, super oxide anion, and singlet oxygen. Total ORACFN provides a measure of the total
antioxidant power of a food/nutrition product against the five predominant reactive species.

Antioxidant capacity is a central feature of phytocompounds, and the kind of compound diversity represented by Soul leads to broad-spectrum antioxidant protection. What do we mean by broad-spectrum?
Well, antioxidants help protect our bodies against the damaging effects of free radicals. While a necessary
part of human metabolism, radicals can become harmful if there are too many of them. There is a wide
variety of them, and not all antioxidants are created equal in defending against them. Consider bacteria.
Certain kinds of antibiotics work against some bacteria, but not against others. The same is true for
antioxidants. Compound diversity is a key factor in broad-spectrum antioxidant protection.
