Grade 2 Homework Week 2:

Due:

1. Literacy: Read your leveled reading book aloud to your parents

for 10 minutes per night. Remember to fill out your reading log. Turn
in your reading log on Friday for your teacher to check.
2. Literacy: Each time you read this week, have your parents ask
you some of the Book Talk questions which are on the back of this
sheet (or below on weebly). Answer them orally.

3. Writing: This past week we have been generating ideas to write

about throughout the year. Children have been writing these ideas in
their writing notebook and can use this list whenever they are stuck in
writing. As teachers we encourage children to always add to this list.
Since we talked about how writers get ideas from their environment,
we want the children to do the same. As children walk around their
neighborhood this week and notice things they know a lot about, have
them jot these ideas down in their homework notebook.
