WRITING TASK 1
The bar chart shows the factors affecting work performance in a survey conducted by
the personal department in a major company in two age groups, those aged 18-30 and those
aged 45-60.
Approximately 90 people in the age group of 18-30 years choose chance for personal
development as a reason affecting their work performance. This is the highest number of
other factors. In contrast, work environment factor is the lowest factor affecting their work
performance. A total of 30 people from this age group choose work environtment . The same
results are found in the age group of 45-60 years, as many as 30 of them choose work
performance as a factor affecting their performance. However, this factor is not the weakest
factor as well as the age group of 18-30 years.
Meanwhile, as many as 70 people from the age group of 45-60 years choose money as
the main factor affecting their performance. This figure is the highest in this age group. On
the contrary, only 20 people choose job security as their main reason. Job security is a factor
which is the lowest in the survey in this age group.
It is clear from the data given that there are some significant differences in factors
affecting work performance between aged 18-30 and aged 45-60 workers.
