Problem Statement:

The first task of the Principles of Engineering class is to

design a compound machine that completes a simple task.

Design Statement:

Design, build, and test a compound machine that lifts a ping

pong ball 2 feet in the air.

Constraints:

1. Must use at least 3 simple machines

2. Effort force must be provided by a human input force
3. The mechanical advantage must be greater than 1
