Dear Parent/Carer,

Target Setting Day Years 8, 9 and 10

As part of our commitment to raising achievement and informing parents of student progress we are holding a Target
Setting Day this term. This will take place on Tuesday 6 October 2015.
On this day, normal lessons will be suspended, and each student, accompanied by their parent(s)/carer(s), will have a
ten-minute interview with his Form Tutor. At the interview there will be an opportunity to discuss your son/wards target
levels/grades for the year ahead, to analyse his progress last year, and to set targets for the remainder of the year.
The aim of this process is to ensure that your son/ward achieves his full potential at Isleworth & Syon.
In order for us to be able to provide you with a suitable appointment time, please complete the slip below indicating the
preferred time of day for the interview. You will be notified of the precise time in advance of the interview. Whilst we
cannot guarantee to meet with you at your preferred time, we will do our best to accommodate your choice. In
exceptional circumstances, some staff may be able to offer an appointment before 8.30am. Please indicate on the
reply slip below if you would benefit from an early appointment should they be available. If you have more than one
son/ward at the school, please indicate this on the slip so that Form Tutors can co-ordinate interview times for your
convenience.
On the day, please arrive a few minutes before the interview time and report to the reception area in the school library,
where any paperwork and additional information will be issued prior to the interview. Students should attend in full
school uniform and should bring their diary to note the agreed targets. I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday 6
October. Please return this slip to your son/wards form tutor by Tuesday 29 September at the latest.
