Title
1. Introduce your topic
1. When puberty is reached, the person becomes sexually mature although, maybe
not in the same way as someone else (Windsor, Murrell, & Jackson, 2015).
2. Puberty
3. Going through puberty is a big deal, because for one, youre entering a different
stage of your life, and two, youre maturing in many ways that are necessary to
enter adulthood.
1. Topic In depth
1. Girls tend to reach puberty one to two years earlier than boys. Because they arent
experiencing the same things at the same time, they are in two different places
emotionally and cognitively (Windsor, Murrell, &Jackson, 2015).
2. Ectomorph- tall and thin body type
Endomorph- soft and round body type
Mesomorph- Hard and muscular body type
3. Puberty begins with a part of the brain known as hypothalamus. It is part of
reproductive growth.

4. Families play a large role in helping a child develop normally when going through
puberty (Triyanto & Iskandar, 2015).

1.

Puberty was a very stressful part of my life. Along with my body, everything else
seemed to be changing all at once. For example: friends, home life (family), school, and
hobbies. I was extremely overwhelmed, considering that many things were going on with
me physically and emotionally that I didnt understand. Not a single thing seemed to be
remaining stable. At the time I was playing volleyball and basketball, and enjoyed them
both equally. Although, in basketball I started encountering issues with my coach. She
seemed to play favoritism, but it wasnt favoritism that seemed to make any sense. I felt
like she disliked me for some reason that didnt pertain to basketball at all. Due to that,
the rest of my season was quite miserable so I ended up quitting. After I quit, I was happy
to still have my best friend who was on the basketball team with me and volleyball
around to keep me preoccupied. Then, when I thought things were looking up, I lost my
best friend. I didnt fully understand why or what had caused it to happen, but I guess we
just started going down separate paths. To top it all off, my parents got a divorce. I had
seen it coming but I guess I was expecting it a little further down the road. Lastly, I made
a terrible decision by quitting volleyball. To this day I cant fathom a good enough reason
as to why I did it. So I guess you could say my puberty stage was a bit more than a few
body and sexual changes.

2. Puberty is basically when things that are out of your control start to change.
Around that time, many things out of my control began to change.
3. After the whole starting and getting through puberty part, you get accustomed
to how your body is. So for instance if youre a girl, you know your period is
coming once a month and youre able to prepare for it and you know how to
handle it.
