The Project

The purpose of the project is to design a heart rate and temperature monitor displayed to a
smartphone via Bluetooth. It will use two sensors, the pulse monitor and the temperature (LM35)
sensor. The pulse monitor will be attached to a Velcro tape as the user will use it like a bracelet to
measure his pulse rate accurately. The temperature sensor will also be designed like a real
thermometer with a few slight changes in order to be sure that the temperature of the room will
not interfere with the body temperature being measured.
While measuring both, the data will be transferred and displayed to a smartphone
connected to a Bluetooth. The screen will show the temperature in Celsius and the Heart Rate in
beats per minute and will also tell if the heart rate is regular or irregular.
