Duties and Responsibilities for the post
Senior Physiotherapist
1. Management & supervisionof the physiotherapy department.
2. Maintain discipline in the physiotherapy department to ensure smooth functioning of
the department.
3. Responsiblefor the upgradation of department. Developand revise policies, procedures
and budgetsfor the physiotherapy department.
4. Providingphysiotherapy to patients particularly the complicated ones.
5. Supervisethe Physiotherapygivento the patients by his/her juniors. Modify andfinalise
the Physiotherapeuticmanagementplan when required.
6. Co_ ordination with different specialistsreferring the patients to physiotherapy
department.
7. Responsiblefor selection coordination and supervisionof staff.
8. Member of the selection board for recruitments of physiotherapist/occupational
therapist.
9. Writing confidential report of physiotherapist/occupational therapist and other staff
posted in the department.
10. Responsiblefor arrangingclinical meeting, CMES,workshops etc. for educational
upgradation and enhancement of in the-field including arranging multidisciplinary
researchprograms.
11.To look after administration work & to upgradethe quality of accessories,equipment
etc.
12. Responsiblefor purchase,maintenance and condemnation of equipments.
13. Memb.erof purchasecommittee, technical specification committee and bid evaluation
commlttee for the physiotherapy department.
