Front and Rear Spar is shear webbed FORE and AFT (full depth) with
3/32 light plywood which is grooved about 1/32 deep at each rib
location. This acts as an alignment feature for each rib. (Like grooving
the LE and TE does). This FORE and AFT shear web forms a pocket
between the spar caps. The wing joiners fit into these pockets. The
Forward Joiner is 38" long, 3/8" thick (same as spar cap width) and 1
1/16 wide. (just fits into the forward pocket). The rear joiner is 21" long,
1/4 thick, (same as spar cap width) and 1 1/16" wide. Both are HARD
WOOD such as oak or mahogany. NOT pine or basswood. In addition
to glueing the shear webs to the spar caps I would advise wrapping the
box with glass tape and glueing it in place. Do this in each rib bay.
