Sept. 29 (martes, Tuesday) [I can identify and locate the 21 Spanish speaking
countries along with their flags.]

HA-(5 min.) Get a map for South America on the front table. Begin to label the Spanish
speaking countries that are in South America. There are 9 Spanish speaking countries in
this continent. What are these 9 countries?

Assignment for today: Finish your 2nd round of flags. Make sure you know the countrys
capital, geographical location and population. Introduction of the Parada de las Banderas
for Hispanic Heritage Month Moral Focus Assembly.
We need 2 speakers to announce all of the countries, their capitals and their geographical
location as the other students bring in the flags into the gym.
ET (2 min.) Try to name the 9 Spanish speaking countries that are in South America.

Sept. 30 (miercoles, Wednesday) [I can identify and locate the 21 Spanish


speaking countries along with their flags.]

(5 min.) Get a map for Central America and the Caribbean. Label the Spanish speaking
countries that are in these regions. There are 3 Spanish speaking countries in the
Caribbean. How many Spanish speaking countries are in Central America?

Assignment for today: Begin your 3rd round of flags. Make sure you know the countrys
capital, geographical location and population. One person from the group, type in Notes
(iPad) the information that you have found for your flags.
ET (2 min.) Try to name the Spanish speaking countries in Central America and the
Caribbean.

Oct. 1 (jueves, Thursday) [I can identify and locate the 21 Spanish speaking
countries along with their flags.]

(5 min.) Get the order of the Parade of Flags for the Moral Focus Assembly. This
information is on the front table. Look and see when your flags will be called up. Choose a
one or two group mates to bring the flag into the gym when its called. This has to work
like clockwork. Put this order in your notebook!!!!!!!!

Decide who those individuals will be. Also choose another group mate to hold the sign for
the country which will have the countrys name on it.

one or two group mates to bring the flag into the gym when its called. This has to work
