Moynihan offers cautious welcome for N22 bypass announcement.

Fianna Fail Cork North West general election candidate Cllr Aindrias Moynihan, has offered a
cautious welcome for the N22 Macroom bypass announcement in the proposed Capital
Programme.
I cautiously welcome the announcement of the N22 Macroom bypass in the proposed Capital
Programme. It is good that the government have seen fit to complete the many years of work of
previous Fianna Fail governments. This is particularly so, since the last milestone was reached in
2013.
It is particularly gratifying considering the numerous delegations which were sent of local
public representatives over many years. I was the leader of the last such delegation in 2014.
However, we must be cautious with this announcement. This plan is dependent on the
government living up to their promises. They must immediately move past the rhetoric and start
providing some specific details on the project. It must now be a priority for government to tender
for contracts immediately, and turn this welcome, if still paper promise into a reality concluded
Councillor Moynihan.
