Our pre-school kids and their parents had a
wonderful experience when they were
transported to the world of Alice in Wonderland. “ BELIEVE YOU CAN AND YOU’RE HALFWAY
That was the theme of the Pre-School Graduation THERE”
Ceremony on 3 July. The school hall was
transformed into the magical world of Alice in
Wonderland with the presence of Allice, Cheshire
Cat, the Mad Hatter and, of course, the Queen of
Hearts. Our Guests-of:Honour, Dato’ Ir. Steve
Chong Yin On and Datin Low Peck Tim were
crowned as King and Queen of the Day wwith a
red carpet welcome.
The event began with three impressive speeches
in Malay, Chinese and English, delivered by the
Kindergarten students. The audience was also
entertained by the lively dance performances
from the students, who belly danced and
performed beautifully on stage. The students
also put on their very own rendition of Alice in
Wonderland, where little Alice travelled around
the world meeting different people.
Each student was presented with a certificate
and a graduation bear for remembrance of this
wonderful day. The graduating students in turn
presented their parents with a gift of gratitude for
sending them to AHIS.Newsletter
L205 ISSUE39~ PRE-SCHOOL GRADUATION TRIP TO
Austin Heights International Pre-School went on a graduation
trip to Legoland Malaysia on 16 June 2015. This graduation trip
provided the graduating students a memorable experience
which enabled them to explore and experience exciting fun
rides, games and educational programmes together with their
friends and teachers.
The students enjoyed themselves most at the water park. It
was a fun-filled day for them as they went on many different
slides at the pool at Splash Safari
Then, they proceeded to the Imagination Centre where they
engaged in hands-on exploration using imagination and
creativeness to use gears and alter the speed and direction,
whereas in Adventure-Bot they learnt to use the robots to
retrieve golden treasures and hide them from the treasure
hunters using a computer.
Soon after lunch, they went on a train ride. Some of the
students also had lots of fun when they took a driving lesson
at the driving school range.INTERNATIONAL DAY
CUM FAMILY DAY
The multicultural family of Austin Heights International
School gathered together on 13 June for a memorable
fun-filled and exciting day. Under the motto ‘One school,
one community’, we prepared a variety of activities that
brought 26 cultures together in the spirit of creativity,
cooperation, family, and diversity.
The activities included dances and songs from Malaysia,
Indonesia, and Thailand, cultural and artistic displays at
various countries booths, demonstrations of international
cuisines and handicrafts, as well as exciting games and
activities in conjunction with Father's Day. The students,
guided by the teachers, and with the help of the parents,
worked as a team to make this event an authentic cultural
gathering,
Our school was livelier and more vibrant than ever on the
International Day, proving that we are committed to the

YEAR END CONCERT, ANNUAL AWARD CEREMONY &
YEAR 11 GRADUATION - is sian taryn Ambrose
10 July 2015 marked a very special day on our school calendar ~ our annual Year End Concert and awards
ceremony, including the graduation ceremony for Year 11 students. Certificates were presented to all students
who had excelled academically, in sports, and in service to the school. The awards presentation was
interspersed with a variety of lively performances by our students, including hip-hop dances, singing and band
performances.
Ms Andrea Stothard gave an inspiring speech as the outgoing Head Prefect, before saying a final goodbye to the
Year 11 students. All graduating students were presented with a certificate and a graduation bear each, and took
their last photos as students in school uniform, surrounded by their friends and family. Many tearful goodbyes
were said to friends and teachers alike, and whilst we were sad to say farewell to this amazing group of students,
we wished them the very best of success as they move further afield in pursuit of their future academic goals.
