Curriculum content description: Perform and refine specialised
movement skills in challenging movement situations. (ACPMP099)

Students prior knowledge and experience:

Pupils are expected to


know the skills of passing, catching and defending a ball. The pupils will be familiar with the
game of football and kicking the ball as a result of observation from television and match at
school and previous games.

Learning purpose:
- Adapting and responding to changes in equipment that increase the complexity of a
movement, task or performance.
- Transferring skills learnt in one movement situation to a different situation.
- Performing specialised movement skills in situations where the rules or conditions
have been modified to vary complexity.
- Using feedback from a variety of sources to refine specialised movement skills and
performances.

Learning objectives:
On completion of this lesson,
students will be able to:
Know the skills of kicking in different
situations in Gaelic Football.

Evaluation:

The teacher provides


constant feedback and reinforcement of the
movements required after demonstration.
Overall lesson was really effective to
practice and learn kicking skills.

Two colour vests to form 2 teams for a mini match

Simple instructions and no more than three instructions


given at a time. And asking questions for checking the understanding.

1. Introduction:
- Roll call by teacher
- Ask students to take equipments to the field

demonstration on correct passing and kicking
split students into groups to practice passing and kicking
given feedback on the passing and kicking done by students
two teams made to play a mini match

3. Lesson conclusion:
- Teacher takes over.
- Asked the students to put back all the equipments and to take them into
the store.
