Highlights and Lowlights of the seminar

The main goal of the seminar is to give knowledge to young Mechanical Engineers about
the different methods, strategies and materials that are being used by different types of power
generating plants. He also discussed the system for generating power in a more economical and
efficient which is the Variable Speed Drive System that uses oil to control the flow in the system
in the Mechanical way.
Seminar talks about the different processes existing in different types of Power
generating plants which is very essential to us Mechanical Engineers to be familiar with the
technology that has been developed to generate power.
For the lowlights, the seminar also provided information with regards to the different
software that has been developed to further improve the ability to compute and read every
different aspect that is related to Mechanical Engineering especially in the field of Air
Conditioning.

Capabilities you acquire in the Seminar

The capabilities that I acquired in the seminar is learning how to care for the environment
of power generating plants by creating a power plant that uses natural elements that are
abundantly present in our surroundings such as air, water and biogas.
I also learned that for improving the efficiency of plants, adding additional equipments to
improve the process in the plant using different materials such as using oil to reduce the power
needed for initial start up of Power Plants and decrease friction to the materials that are in
contact which leads to less maintenance.

Ways the seminar help you to become a competent Engineer

The seminar will help me become a competent engineer as I already have knowledge on
the processes involved inside a power plant which will be advantageous for me as I will not be
anymore new to the processes involved in a plant and why they have such technology and
techniques necessary for power generation. I already learned how plants will be more effective
and become more reliable which I can use whenever Ill be having a job that takes care of
maintaining the system inside a Power Plant.
