The Horrible Lie
Tobby was working in his parents farmland when Jack came over ignoring his
chores that his parents gave him. Tobby asked him if he finished his chores already.
Jack said yes when he barely woke up he started to work. As they worked together
in the farm Jack and Tobby were talking. Tobby said that he will be moving to the
United States since his moms family is over there. As soon as Jack heard this, he
dropped his rake and ran away worried he will lose his best friend and never see
him again. When Tobby was supposed to go to the airport Jack said his flight got
canceled and should go back home. When Tobby got home his parents were mad at
him for not going to the airport on time and making them miss their flight. The next
day Jack came over to help Tobby with his chores but Tobby just left him alone in the
field.
After a while Jack realized why Tobby was mad at him. Jack tried to apologize
for what he did but Tobby just ignored him. Jack tried to apologize by standing up for
him when Tobby was getting bullied by older kids 5 times every day. Finally Jack
tried to apologize by telling his family the truth. When Jack told his family, Tobbys

parents became less upset and told Jack it was okay. The next day Tobby started
talking to Jack again.
Jack said he was sorry because he was worried he would lose his best friend.
Tobby just smiled and told Jack, I was only going to leave for the winter break and
return. When you just left I was going to tell you. Jack said, And I ruined your
vacation. Tobby told him he didnt want to go because he was going to
his grandpas and was going to get bored. Jack and Tobby spent the whole vacation
hanging out and talking to each other.
