All Commissioner Responsibilities

Attend every training session necessary for their role


Regularly attend all weekly OHRC meetings
Program activities and other initiatives as often as possible
Keep the OHRC informed of their activities
Work with assigned Floor Representatives to undertake the
responsibilities of their respective portfolios
Academic Commissioner
Work closely with the Academic and Leadership Programmer
Educate residents of the wider academic outlets that the
University of Western Ontario offers
Encourage study sessions and other group settings that help
residents excel in their academics
Create at least one de-stressor program per exam period
Create and maintain a resource bank for different courses
Hold at least one review session
Hold at least one career-building workshop
Social Commissioner (Frost Week)
Support the VP Programming as necessary
Spearheading the planning and execution of Frost Week
Interview, select and train frophs
Create and sell frost kits
Create programs for each day of Frost Week
Support the other social commissioner
Social Commissioner (Semi/Formal)
Support the VP Programming as necessary
Spearhead planning and execution of semi & formal
Support Frost Week Social Commissioner
Human Issues Commissioner
Promote awareness of environmental issues and work to
increase energy conservation recycling and other programs that
positively impact and/or conserve the environment
Educate the residents of Ontario Hall of social issues affecting
the community and greater world community
Coordinate with all respective organizations, the charitable
endeavours in which the residence wishes to peruse
Spearhead at least two coffeehouses, Gotcha, and two charity
events

Healthy Living and Athletics Commissioner


Be responsible for coordinating of all sports activities within the
residence and to enter teams in other university leagues and
promote Varsity Sports
Promote healthy eating and other nutrition information
Organize both the boys and girls flag football teams
Organize the SuperBowl party, and at least one residence wide
sports competition
Culture & Holiday Commissioner
Create events for at least 5 major holidays and at least
international event (including Halloween, December holidays,
Valentines Day, Chinese New Year, Valentines Day etc.)
Work closely with VP Programming, and the Academic
Leadership Programmer
Encourage residents to pursue and foster artistic interest
through outlets such as music, drama, dance, visual art etc.
Marketing Commissioner
Create promotional materials (posters, videos etc.)
Create and sell at least one Ontario Hall merchandise
Should be proficient in Adobe Suite, or any other design
software
