Summer internship for Prof. Blake focused on writing Java to text mine output
from the PubMed API to retrieve complete PMID lists for certain journals which contained
articles on breast cancer, and retrieving and parsing the full texts of those articles. Current
work is on text mining PubChem synonym names
Summer internship for Prof. Downie focused on maintaining the public and
private wikis of the Music Information Retrieval eXchange (MIREX), and
collection//evaluation of task captains submissions using taub, the UIUC campus cluster, for
audio metadata analysis
