SAP BW : How to install business content

extractors/datasources?
SAP delivers business content extractors / datasources to extract master and transaction data from SAP source
systems to SAP BW. One needs to install and activate these extractors first to use these extractors in your project.
Below is a step by step approach to install SAP standard content extractors.

Go to transaction code RSA5 in SAP source system: This is where you see all the content extractors
provided by SAP.

Select the top node (SAP) in the tree and click expland (+) button as shown in the screenshot below.

After finding your datasaource keep the cursor on the data source click on 'Activate Datasources' as shown
in the screnshot below.

After the activation is complete go to transaction code RSA6 in SAP source system, this is where we see all
the installed content extractors. Expand the top node (SAP) and search for the datasource you just installed.
The installation is now complete. You need to replicate the datasources in BW.

Got to RSA1 in BW system and select datasources.

You can just do right click on the node under which installed datasource is and select 'Replicate Metadata'. If
the node is not available you can select the top node (SAP) and do the replication.

You can start using the datasource after replication. You need to create an infopackage and for delta
enabled datasources you first need to do the delta initialization before running any deltas.
